Chrome Users Will Soon Have Access to Gen AI Features
Google introduces new creative AI features in the Chrome browser – intelligently organize your tabs, create your own themes with AI, and get help sketching things out online. Since the latest release of Chrome, the company has introduced experimental creative AI features that make browsing even easier and more efficient.
“You can try these new Chrome features on Mac and Windows PC in the coming days, starting in the US,” the company said. To access these features, sign in to Chrome, select Settings from the three-dot menu, and go to the Experimental AI page.
Because these features are early public trials, “they will be disabled for business and education accounts for the time being,” Google said. With Tab Organizer, Chrome automatically suggests and creates tab groups based on your open tabs.
“This can be especially useful if you’re multitasking in Chrome at the same time, such as planning a trip, researching a topic, and shopping,” according to the company.
Last year, Google introduced generative AI wallpapers with Android 14 and Pixel 8 devices. “Now we’re bringing the same text-to-image diffusion model to Chrome, so you can customize your browser even more. You can quickly create custom themes based on your chosen topic, mood, visual style, and color,” the company said.
In next month’s release of Chrome, the company will release another experimental AI-based feature to help users type on the web with confidence. “Type a few words and our AI will start the typing process for you,” Google said.
